Absolutes can be dangerous words. How often
do we make “always” or “never” statements, only to find that our ambitious
words don’t stick for long? Think of New Year’s resolutions. Maybe we vow to
exercise daily, to quit smoking, or to give up sweets. Then we don’t follow
through 100 percent.
“Always” and “never” are tricky words
indeed. But “always” is 100 percent appropriate, when it comes to expressing gratitude
towards our Heavenly Father.
“In the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father.”
(Ephesians 5:20, GNT)
May His matchless Name be ever praised.
