When we promise to pray for others, what do
those prayers actually sound like? Here’s a positive practical example from the
Apostle Paul:
“My prayer is
that God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will
bless you with peace! I never stop thanking my God for being kind enough to
give you Christ Jesus, who helps you speak and understand so well.” (1
Corinthians 1:3-5, CEV)
I love the way Paul asks the Lord for His
kindness and peace, praying these over his fellow believers. Even more, how
wonderful is it to thank God for extending His miraculous Gospel and His
spiritual blessings of wisdom and understanding and clear ministry to them? What
an apt model for intercession.
