Love this
nativity depiction! Still
saddled, the donkey stands just outside of the miraculous scene. According to
the 19th century artist, it seems Mary and Joseph arrived just in
time for the Babe’s arrival.
God’s
timing triumphs. When the Father said, “This is the moment,” it happened.
Won’t
it be the same way when the Lord returns? God Almighty will turn to the Son and
say, “It is time.”
And
so it will be, whether we’re prepared or not. There won’t be time to unsaddle a
donkey. If God chooses a moment, it’s surely gonna happen.
