Daily, as I wade
through friends’ online messages and posts in which they may have tagged me, I
am intrigued by plenty of witty and inspirational quips and quotations. A
popular one-liner points to the present as a gift from God.
That’s
certainly true. But don’t we still wonder about the future?
Wouldn’t we love to
take a quick peek past the curtain of time? Isn’t that why countless people are
attracted to fortune tellers, horoscopes, oracles, and seers?
God occasionally
does reveal secrets to those who seek Him. Maybe that’s the secret. Perhaps we
need to seek Him, more than His secrets. When we draw close enough to God’s
heart and begin to know His mind, maybe everything simply makes a whole lot
more sense.
Just a thought.
Here’s
today’s Bible promise – straight from the Book.
Ask Me, and I will tell you
remarkable secrets you do not
know
about things to come.
(Jeremiah 33:3, NLT)
