Gift for the Guilty – Bible First-Aid from A to Z

Got guilt? Most of us do, at some point, if we are honest with ourselves and with God. In fact, left to ourselves, we can grow pretty goopy, grimy, gross, grotesque, grubby and grungy.

Good news! God’s grace is greater than our guilt.

If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense.

On the other hand, if we admit our sins -- make a clean breast of them -- he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself.

He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. (1 John 1:8-9, The Message)
