Lots of believers try this tactic for storing up sections of Scripture, from small groups to
entire church congregations. Our church, for example, offers free stacks of
Bible memory cards each year. These include all of the weekly suggested verses,
which correspond to the pastoral sermon series.
The selected Bible verses also appear in the printed bulletins each Sunday.
No one is tested on these verses, at least in our church’s
program. But the camaraderie of the shared effort seems to draw us along.

Scripture memory goals can be one way to spur one another towards deeper
devotion to God and care for each other.
