November is upon us. With the
start of the month, we have 26 days left till Thanksgiving. Heart of a Ready Writer is publishing a
series (from November 1st till Thanksgiving Day), praying the power of
Scripture for our children (and other loved ones. Each (daily or nearly daily) post will present a specific Scripture and how
parents can pray that Bible passage, especially for our families.
Maybe you will choose to memorize some of these Bible verses, especially if they speak specifically to your prayerful hopes and parental prayers.
Will you join us, approaching
the throne of God to pray biblically for the next generation?
Here's the first verse, to get us all started on this journey of intercession for those we love so deeply.
You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the Lord, have created it. (Isaiah 45:8, NIV)
Great God, Your Word
clearly says that Your desire is for Your creation to rise up in righteous
praise to You. Please draw our children to know You, to love You, to desire the
righteousness that only You can bring about in their lives. Rain down Your
righteousness upon them, and let Your salvation spring up in their hearts. Be
glorified, as our sons and daughters come to adore and honor You.
We ask in faith and in the name of our
wonderful Lord, Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
